Alan "Ducky" Drake has been calling Plattsburgh Cardinals hockey for 37 years. His catch phrase, "Stick a fork in the (opposing team's nickname), they're done!" has been used countless times during that time span. But according to Drake, last night was the first time that he had used the phrase only to have the opposing team come clawing back on Plattsburgh.
Ducky stuck the fork in Potsdam when sophomore Vick Schlueter scored to give the Cards a 3-0 lead with 18:11 left in regulation. The Bears then scored three straight goals and eventually left the Stafford Ice Arena with a tie.
