The Oswego State men's ice hockey team kicks off the 2008-09 campaign this weekend with a pair of games. On Friday, the Lakers play host to USA Hockey's Under-18 Development Team in an exhibition game at the Campus Center Ice Arena. WNYO's coverage starts at 5 P.M. with Greene's Game Night from Greene's Ale House in Oswego, N.Y. At 6 P.M., WNYO will join forces with WTOP 10 to simulcast an extended pre-game show to preview the upcoming season. At 6:30, Countdown to Faceoff will get you set for the game. The puck drops at 7 P.M. and you can hear the call live on 88.9 FM or online at WNYO.org or WNYOsports.com.
On Saturday, Oswego State travels to Horseheads, N.Y. to take on 2008 national semifinalist Elmira. Countdown to Faceoff starts at 6:30 P.M. and the puck drops at 7:00. Again, you can hear all the action on 88.9 FM in Oswego or online at WNYO.org or WNYOsports.com. The game audio may also be simulcast on WTOP 10, channel 96 off campus in Oswego County.

ReplyDeleteTheir names were to be mentioned by the studio "experts" in the pre-game show. Package had to be short so that it could be used on the news.
