Super Bowl Hero Tyree Expects Giants To Cut Him
David Tyree told the Daily News on Monday that he is treating Thursday's exhibition game against New England as his New York Giants swan song. The former Syracuse Orange wide out made an indelible mark on the franchise's history a little more than a year ago when he made an improbable late-game catch in Super Bowl XLII. New York went on to beat New England 17-14 to capture their first world title in 17 years. Since then Tyree has not played in a regular season game. He missed al of 2008 with a knee injury and has been limited this preseason by a hamstring injury.

I'm a sports reporter who most recently covered Syracuse University football for Clear Channel Syracuse (620 WHEN & 570 WSYR).
I attended SUNY Oswego where I majored in Broadcasting-
Mass Communications. I was also the Voice of the Lakers (VOTL) from 2007-2009 on 88.9 FM WNYO Oswego. It was during this time that I created this blog, then known as the WNYO Sports Blog. Upon leaving Oswego, I took the blog with me. I am a supporter of SU & Oswego State Athletics, as well as the New York Yankees, NY Giants, and NY Rangers. The VOTL.com is also simulcast on Bleacher Report.
