WNYO To Broadcast Cortland v. Fredonia
Note: Due to the short notice, WNYO may not have a full staff on hand for the first game and may therefore not have underwriters or other production elements for the broadcast.
I'm a sports reporter who most recently covered Syracuse University football for Clear Channel Syracuse (620 WHEN & 570 WSYR).
I attended SUNY Oswego where I majored in Broadcasting-
Mass Communications. I was also the Voice of the Lakers (VOTL) from 2007-2009 on 88.9 FM WNYO Oswego. It was during this time that I created this blog, then known as the WNYO Sports Blog. Upon leaving Oswego, I took the blog with me. I am a supporter of SU & Oswego State Athletics, as well as the New York Yankees, NY Giants, and NY Rangers. The VOTL.com is also simulcast on Bleacher Report.

ReplyDeleteGood luck to both of them..Chances are that you haven't heard of Eri Yoshida yet. We say yet, because it is likely you will hear about Eri Yoshida eventually. She is the first woman to play professional baseball in Japan. The 16 year old was picked up by the Kobe 9 Cruise as a pitcher. Why so young a person, and a woman to boot, would be picked as a pitcher ordinarily would have to do with a rocket arm and a fastball that makes batters cringe, but she has something unique – she is a knuckleballer. A knuckleball thrower is a prized possession by any club. The MLB has only 3, as it is the hardest pitch to hit and also to throw. If she has a decent fastball to go with it, Eri Yoshida won't have to worry about payday loans for a while.
