Oswego State is one victory away from a trip to the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four in Lake Placid.
The Division III men's ice hockey selection committee gave the SUNYAC champions a bye into the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA tournament in the bracket leaked just moments ago. The Lakers will host NESCAC tournament runner-up Bowdoin on Saturday night at the Campus Center. The Polar Bears won eight straight games to finish their season before dropping Sunday's NESCAC championship at Middlebury by a score of 3-2.
Only four "western" schools were invited to the dance, three of whom were guaranteed a spot after they won their conference tournament. All four will have to take the ice in Wednesday night's play-in round.
