Top-ranked St. Norbert had their perfect record shattered by Salem State in a 3-0 shutout Saturday night in the St. Scholastica Tournament. The Green Knights had raced out to an 9-0-1 start, looking poised to avenge the previous season in which their streak of seven straight 20-win campaigns came to an end (19-8-1). But Salem State junior James Lacour (pictured) played the role of streak stopper on Saturday with 31 saves for his first collegiate shutout.
The Vikings improved to 4-1-0, recovering nicely from their first loss of the season the night before to the host Saints. St. Norbert is now 9-1-1 and will host St. Scholastica twice next weekend.
