The Oswego State men's ice hockey team finished five points behind St. Norbert College in the first regular season poll release by USCHO.com on Monday. The Lakers moved up six spots from the preseason poll announced two weeks ago after starting the season 5-1-0, including a 5-2 victory over pre-season No. 1 Plattsburgh on the road Saturday night.
This marks Oswego State's highest ranking since they topped the 2007-08 pre-season poll. They currently hold a record of 2-1-0 against ranked opponents, with match-ups against #5 Adrian, #13 Hobart, and a rematch with #3 Plattsburgh still to come.
