I'm about 90 minutes outside of NYC, lumbering down Route 17 to see game one of a day-night double header between the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees. Clipper Captain Derek Peter enters the twin bill with 2,718 career hits, three shy of the franchise record held by Lou Gehrig. I'll provide live updates throughout the day.

On My Way To See History (I Hope)
I'm a sports reporter who most recently covered Syracuse University football for Clear Channel Syracuse (620 WHEN & 570 WSYR).
I attended SUNY Oswego where I majored in Broadcasting-
Mass Communications. I was also the Voice of the Lakers (VOTL) from 2007-2009 on 88.9 FM WNYO Oswego. It was during this time that I created this blog, then known as the WNYO Sports Blog. Upon leaving Oswego, I took the blog with me. I am a supporter of SU & Oswego State Athletics, as well as the New York Yankees, NY Giants, and NY Rangers. The VOTL.com is also simulcast on Bleacher Report.
