Four's a Crowd in Laker Crease

The OJHL recently listed Markham's Daniel Jones as Oswego State's latest committed recruit for the 2009-2010 men's ice hockey season. Though the Lakers are looking to replace 14 skaters, Jones is a goaltender. That's a position Oswego State is in full stock of; Tim Potter and Kyle Gunn-Taylor each have a year of eligibility left while Paul Beckwith just completed his freshman year. This is a problem head coach Ed Gosek only wished he had back in November when his club was down to just one healthy goaltender in Chris Hyk.

So, now what? Will the Lakers retain the services of all four backstops for next season? Does Jones have a guaranteed spot on the roster? Will one of the more experienced goalies get cut? More on this developing story in the days to come...
