The Nationwide Tour is a developmental tour for the PGA. It is comprised of pro golfers who failed to score high enough at the Qualifying School to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but failed to win enough money to stay on the PGA Tour. Those who are on the top 25 of the Nationwide Tour money list at the end of the year are give PGA Tour memberships for the following season.
Branshaw has twice earned a PGA Tour card. He is currently ranked 47th on the 2009 Nationwide Tour Money List. He has been golfing professionally since 1991.
