Stanley Francois continues to pay dividends for the men's basketball team. The former Cobleskill Fighting Tiger poured in 26 points to match his 26 rebounds in a 76-61 win over visiting Morrisville Saturday night. A crowd of around 400 at the Max Ziel Gymnasium nearly saw a 40-year-old school mark broken, as Francois' rebound tally fell just five short of Greg Wilson's ('68) total of 31 at Utica on Jan. 30, 1968. Francois is on pace to pull down 328 rebounds on the season, which would be the third-highest single-season total in Laker history.
Oswego State's victory evened their conference mark at 1-1 and improved their overall record to 5-1. The Lakers had suffered a buzzer-beater loss at Geneseo earlier in the week, a play which found it's way to the ESPN highlight reel. They'll return to action next Saturday with a game at Nazareth.
