Lakers Score Early, Often in 11-3 Route

The Oswego State men's ice hockey team lit the lamp six times in the first period en route to an 11-3 blowout (pictured) victory over Brockport (3-3-1) Friday night at the Campus Center in Oswego. Freshman Eric Selleck recorded his first collegiate hat trick and senior Mark Lozzi tallied two shorthanded goals to lead the way for the Lakers (6-1-1).

The "PBR" line of Peter Magagna, Brendan McLaughlin and Ryan Ellis was teamed together for the first time this season. Magagna and Ellis (twice) both found the back of the net while McLaughlin was credited with two assists on the night.

Freshman Paul Beckwith earned his fourth straight win in net for Oswego State. The former Pembroke Lumber King was provided an 8-0 lead by his teammates before allowing his first goal midway through the second period.
