Little Shakeup Expected in USCHO Poll

Monday marks the release of the weekly USCHO.com national hockey polls, and this edition of the division III men's top ten should not look all that different than the last.

Plattsburgh (1-0-0) could steal some first-place votes from #1 St. Norbert after a convincing 6-3 win over #3 Elmira (2-1-0) on opening night at the newly-remodeled Stafford Arena Saturday. The defending National Champion Green Knights have yet to play a game; they will open their season tomorrow night at Lawrence College.

Oswego State (1-1-0) scored an easy 7-2 victory over Lebanon Valley on Friday. The #5 Lakers may sneak past #4 Norwich, as the Cadets do not open their season until Nov. 15. Oswego State will play host to Elmira this Saturday in a rematch of their season opener.

Hobart (1-1-0) will likely fall after splitting a weekend series with unranked Buffalo State (1-3-0). The #8 Statesmen were shutout 4-0 in Buffalo on Friday before earning a 5-3 victory at home on Saturday. Middlebury should slide up a abit after a 5-3 win over an improving Morrisville program. Adrian (1-0-1) could also make a move up from #10 after earning a tie and a win in Potsdam (0-1-1) last weekend, a team that had received some points in the opening poll.

UPDATE: Make that no shakeup expected in USCHO poll. The Oswegonian's Jared Crast has alerted us to the fact that USCHO will not release another poll until Nov. 10.
