Oswego Speedway hosts the Race of Champions every season. The race, usually held in the middle of September has drivers come in from all over and compete at the 5/8th mile "Steel Palace". The racing did not dissapoint with 228 cars signed in during the three day event.
The big race of the weekend was the 200 lap race for the Race of Champions Modified Tour. Jan Leaty led the first 106 laps until he struck the turn two wall. Then Pete Brittian took the lead and led until lap 156 when he went to the pits for his scheduled pit stop. As a result, Mike Leaty took advantage and led until Tony Hirschman took the lead with nine laps to go. Hirschman went on and won the race and the prize money well over $15,000 to the winner.
Note: The results are the top 5 in each race
