The United States women's soccer team defeated Japan 4-2 Monday to advance to Thursday's gold medal game. We update you on this for the sole purpose of posting a picture of Hope Solo. She's kind of like a Monet, or whichever artist is was that painted portraits that looked good from far away. She also spouted off at the mouth last year after being benched in favor of Briana Scurry in the semifinal of the World Cup. The U.S. lost that game 4-0 to Brazil. Solo voiced her displeasure with coach Greg Ryan to the media (video below) and was banished from the team before the third-place match.
