The Pictou County Weeks Crushers defeated Pembroke 4-1 in today's Fred Page Cup Championship in the Canadian Junior "A" Hockey League. The Lumber Kings had destroyed the host Crushers 7-1 just days earlier in round robin action. Laker recruit Eric Selleck had two markers and an assist in that game, but was held scoreless today. Fellow Laker recruit Paul Beckith stopped 28 of 29 shots in the initial meeting, but allowed four goals on 28 shots this afternoon. The game was tied 1-1 before the Crushers scored the game-winner with seven minutes remaining in the third period.Ryan Maloney
