Nick Perioli of the Oswego State men's basketball team has been named SUNYAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 27. Perioli led the Lakers to three wins last week, and played in all 120 minutes of the victories over Utica, Buffalo State, and Fredonia.
He scored a season-high 27 points in a 91-83 victory over Buffalo State on Friday and also added seven assists and five rebounds. For the week, Perioli averaged 17.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.67 rebounds per contests. He had 19 assists and just six turnovers, and made 13-of-15 free-throw attempts during the three games.
Perioli, a senior from Liverpool, was also honored by the conference as Co-Player of the Week on Jan. 14. The Lakers play at home Tuesday night against Morrisville with the women's game beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8.
