Carr/Hart Eras End in Victory

Former Onondaga Central School standout Mike Hart ran for 133 yards and a score as Michigan upset #12 Florida 41-35 in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.

Hart finishes his collegiate career as the Wolverines' all-time leading rusher despite missing nearly two games per season due to injury. He had more 100, 150 and 200-rushing yard games than any previous tailback to don the maze and blue.

Michigan coach Lloyd Carr will now hand the reigns to former West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez. Carr finishes his tenure at Michigan with a record of 121-40, but will likely be remembered for losing six of the past seven games against arch-rival Ohio State. That includes losing all four games during the Mike Hart era. Carr had served on the Wolverine coaching staff since 1980. Rodriguez takes over tomorrow.
