Men's Hockey Moves Up

The Oswego State men's ice hockey team moved up to the No. 14 ranking in the latest USCHO.com Division III Men's Poll, which was released on Monday afternoon and freshman Joe Hall was named as the SUNYAC Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week for the week ending Dec. 9. The Lakers moved from 15th to 14th in the national poll, and are ranked for the 83rd consecutive publishing of the USCHO.com poll, dating back to January 2003. Last week, Oswego State defeated new SUNYAC foe Morrisville 7-1 at the Campus Center Ice Arena and 6-5 at Morrisville's IcePlex.

In those two games, freshman left wing Joe Hall (pictured) scored a goal and an assist in each contest, recording four points in the weekend after tallying just one through his first nine games. He was named SUNYAC Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week. Hall, a native of Schaumberg, Ill., played for the Wellington Dukes before attending Oswego State.
