Lakers Return to Action Tonight

The Oswego State men's basketball team returns from break with a road game against Cazenovia. The Lakers are 2-0 on the year after winning the Max Ziel Tip-Off Classic.

Senior guard Nick Perioli has returned strong from last season's knee injury and has played all 80 minutes. He is averaging 20.5 points, six rebounds and four assists per game. He also has six steals.

Last November, the Lakers didn't need Perioli's help to score a 114-60 won over the Wildcats. Five Lakers scored 13 or more points as Oswego State out-rebounded Cazenovia 57-28.

In 2005, the Lakers beat the Wildcats 95-66. That marked the last time these two teams had squared off at Cazenovia until tonight. Game time is set for 8 p.m. at the Stephen Schneeweiss Athletic Center.
