The Oswego State Lakers field hockey squad dropped their sixth game in a row today. The New Paltz Hawks took the 3-1 decision at Laker Field in front of 74 fans. New Paltz's Lauren Nicomini tallied her first two goals of the season and an assist in the effort.
Oswego State's Lauren Mastriano recorded her third goal on the season in the 67th minute to break up the shutout. Brittany Roetzer recorded an assist on the play. The Lakers are now 1-11 this season, 1-5 in the SUNYAC. They sit sixth in the conference standings, ahead of winless Morrisville.
At halftime the Lakers held a hula-hoop contest. Oswego State wrestler Jake Taylor came in fifth place. There were five participants.Ryan Maloney
