The site of a lanky Latino dominating the final inning from the mound of Yankee Stadium has become the norm in the Bronx. But tonight #42 was in the bullpen during the last three outs of an 8-0 Yankee bashing of the Twins. Instead, Edwar Ramirez made his major league debut and provided a glimpse into the future of the Bomber bullpen. Ramirez struck out the side, finishing off each batter with a nasty changeup.Ramirez created quite a buzz in AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, striking out 47 batters in just 26 and 2/3 inning of work with an of ERA 0.67. Even more amazing, this guy nearly quit baseball altogether a few years back when the Angels released him.
